Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality + Context + User: Atelier By The Stream
Students needs to create an atelier at Wawasan Recreational Park in Puchong for the final project. The building should have a built-up area of 100 square metres and be able to fit two people, including you and a family member, in a short period of time. The atelier needs to fit into the surrounding tropical site surroundings. In order to provide a memorable spatial experience for the user, the structure's design must clearly express its design ideas through the use of architectural principles, materiality, and constructability.

Disciplin Specific Knowledge
It was the first time we had ever analysed a site and made designs based on user behaviour. I acknowledged that user needs and responsive site design were important.

I will apply all the learning outcome including interpret and analyse simple site context Interpret and analyse users’ characters and needs in relation to the design of a small structure, design a simple building type that meets user requirements and respect site context that balances both internal (architectural spaces/layout/circulation) and external (aesthetics and forms) design values.
